Who we are

This website is run by Oakstone Plumbing Company (Oakstone Bathrooms), based in Leeds (Hawksworth / Kirkstall, LS5). You can email us at dmowitherstone@gmail.com. Our current contact details are always on our contact page.

What we collect and why

The contact form. When you send us a message, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and your message. It is stored on this website and emailed to us so that we can reply to you. We keep it until we delete it.

The quote request form. When you ask for a quote, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the postcode of the job, what you need, roughly when you would like it done, and what you tell us about the job. It is stored on this website and emailed to us so that we can reply and prepare your quote. We keep it until we delete it.

Securing an installation date. When you choose a start date online, we receive your name, your email address, your phone number, any notes you add and the date you chose. It is stored on this website so that we can confirm the date with you, and we keep it until we delete it. If you pay a deposit, the payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this website. Stripe tells us that you have paid and how much.

We use these details only to deal with your enquiry, your quote or your booking, and we do not sell them or pass them to anyone for marketing.

Who looks after the website

This website is hosted for us in the United Kingdom by British Web Design, who process the details above on our behalf and deliver the website's email. They do not use them for anything else.

Cookies

The website sets two cookies that every visitor needs: a session cookie, which lets the site remember you from one page to the next, and a security cookie, which protects the forms from misuse. Neither is used to track you.

We count visits to the website without cookies, so those counts do not identify you.

If we switch on Google Analytics or advertising tags in future, a banner will ask for your permission first, and nothing will be set until you accept. Your answer is remembered in your browser.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR) you can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them or delete them, and object to how we use them. Email us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.

Staging

This is your staging site — it is not your live website. Changes land here first so you can check them before the public sees them.
